Ring Size Guide
Finding the perfect ring size ensures that your jewelry feels as beautiful as it looks. At Dinah Vela, we want every piece to sit comfortably on your hand while symbolizing love that lasts a lifetime. Here are some expert tips to help you measure with confidence.
1. Measure the Right Finger
Hands are not identical—your dominant hand is usually slightly larger. Be sure to measure the exact finger on the correct hand where the ring will be worn.
2. Consider the Band Style
Wider bands naturally fit more snugly. If you’re using an existing ring for reference, make sure it has a similar width to the design you are purchasing.
3. Temperature Matters
Fingers expand when warm and shrink when cold. For the most accurate measurement, check your size at a normal, comfortable body temperature.
4. The Best Time of Day
Finger size changes throughout the day. The ideal moment to measure is in the evening, when your fingers are likely at their largest.
5. Don’t Forget the Knuckle
If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, take two measurements—one at the knuckle and one at the finger base. Choosing a size in between ensures the ring slips on easily without feeling loose.
6. When in Doubt
If the ring is a surprise, opt for average sizes as a starting point:
-
Women: US size 6–7
-
Men: US size 9–10
Our expert jewelers will be happy to resize most designs if needed, so you can propose—or be proposed to—with complete peace of mind.
Tip: For the most accurate results, we recommend using a professional ring sizer or visiting a local jeweler before placing your order.
